![]() ![]() You have to wait for the fourth track, "Sueño Con Serpientes", to hear a song, but it is one of the very few exceptions of this record, which remains a very welcome return, however I continue to prefer the duo's debut.BY SOFTBLACKSTAR.~ ![]() The weight of the Ghosts makes itself felt, however, what remains in the end is the impression of an album based more on improvisation than on songs. The opening is delegated to a version of the jump, and then flows into the eleven minutes of "Overloaded Ark", where Batoh's guitar and Espvall's cello chase each other, dispersed among electronic hisses, percussion and effects until the heart-pounding ending. Disc less immediate than the previous one, there are no delicate and fairytale folk ballads as a corollary of the duo's experiments, but it is only by letting yourself be enveloped by the depth of the sounds that you can fully appreciate this album capable of combining avant-garde and tradition. I thought last year's collaboration between Helena Espvall (Espers, Anahita) and Masaki Batoh (Ghost) was an extemporaneous release, instead here they are with a second record chapter.
